Families aren’t so much scripted; they’re lived. I shoot these sessions the way I shoot everything else — organic in feel, with gentle direction. Sure, we’ll grab the Christmas card photo, but what really shines is the laughter, the quiet moments, and the way it all unfolds naturally.

This family shoot took place on the local sunset sail, Argo Navis. I worked the way I like to with families — documentary-driven, with just enough direction to keep it flowing. The light did it’s thing as the sun dropped, but what I love most here is the balance of energy and calm. Less about staging, more about capturing how it actually felt to be out there.
